This morning, Lauren Korosec successfully defended her MA thesis, The Changing Nature of Homicide and Its Impact on Homicide Clearance Rates: A Quantitative Analysis of Two Trends From 1984-2009. In her research Lauren examined FBI Supplementary Homicide Report data to find out what factors predict whether a homicide will be solved or not. However, predicted probabilities analysis provide a more complete picture of the relative importance of each variable. Read more

Congratulations, Lauren!
