PhD, Sociology, McGill University
Yoko Yoshida is a sociologist whose work examines immigration and immigrant integration, particularly economic and social outcomes, regional settlement patterns, and mobility. She uses quantitative methods and administrative data to analyze how institutional contexts shape integration trajectories, including among refugee populations. Her current projects include developing data infrastructure and collaborative partnerships to support evidence-based policy and community-engaged research. Her research also extends to comparative and international migration, contributing to cross-national work on migration systems and settlement processes. Her teaching includes courses in quantitative methods and immigration and immigrant integration.
