Our faculty and students use multiple research methods to examine a wide range of social phenomena in areas such as health and the life course; power and justice; social demography and migration; and work and the economy. Both the MA and PhD programs involve coursework as well as the completion of a research project. This research training provides the best opportunity to develop transferable skills that will help you prepare for both academic and non-academic jobs.
