Julie McMullin - Professor

Julie McMullin is a sociologist whose research, teachings and practice focuses on social inequality with a particular emphasis on the intersection of age, gender, social class, and ethnicity in the domains of paid work and families. Using both qualitative and quantitative analyses, much of her research has focused on issues related to older workers, structured ambivalence within families, childlessness, and income inequality in later life. She attributes her training as a sociologist to the focus she has placed on equity, diversity, and inclusion in her administrative work.
