Dr. Dale Ballucci is qualitative research with over 15 years of interview experience. Her work takes an interdisciplinary approach that provides unique and important empirical and theoretical substantivecontributions to socio-legal studies, contemporary criminology, and policing. She conducts in-depth exploration to examine professional decision-making processes. Specifically, she investigates how authorities utilize risk tools, digital technologies, policies, and discretionary power to justify their decisions and responses. Her goal is to provide insights for policy revisions to improve practices and outcomes for those who engage and work within the criminal justice and immigration and refugee system.
