Mead to Boas - July 24, 1925: [handwritten]
Dear Dr. Boas,
I have talked the two propositions over with Dr. Goddard but he feels he could not let me take the Barnard position that first year at the Museum because the Museum administration would not approve. He thinks I might be able to take the museum trips [paid by the uni.?] in case such a combination proves useful in solving the problems for Glady’s absence. I did not feel that I could give up the Museum position for that one year’s substitution, when I would have no prospects for the following year. I am evaluating my various addresses in case you should wish to reach me.
With very best wishes for your European trip, I am,
Sincerely,
Margaret
