Welcome to the  Population Studies Centre's web site on Longitudinal Research!

This site aims at disseminating various approaches to longitudinal analysis in the social sciences, with a particular focus on Canada. Research papers, information on data sets and special software for longitudinal analysis as well as some important links will be posted on this site.  Researchers interested in longitudinal analysis are welcome to share on this page their own ideas and works that may be of interest to other researchers. [Please see below for contact email addresses.]

To launch this initiative, the Population Studies Centre of the University of Western Ontario in collaboration with the Centre  interuniversitaire d’études démographiques in Montreal organized a workshop on longitudinal analysis in October 1999. Funding was provided by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada under its Research Development Initiative Programme. Papers presented in the workshop were published in Canadian Studies in Population Special Issue on Longitudinal Methodology 28(2), 2001.
