The Cluster partners with government agencies in order to promote various interconnections between research and policy cycles. In particular:
- The ongoing sharing of knowledge between specialists, coming from various domains in universities and in governments, helps identify issues that warrant further research.
- Results from research of Cluster members provide empirically grounded considerations to be taken into account in shaping and implementing policies.
- Through various interchanges between researchers and partners, research results can play a role in reshaping issues in public policy, and the views of policymakers inform research.
- Continuing communication between researchers and policymakers helps improve the production and dissemination of data relevant for both fundamental research and social policy.
