The Aging & Health Research Centre is a research centre affiliated with the Department of Sociology devoted to expanding our knowledge of issues related to aging and health with a particular focus on paid and unpaid work, social policy and social inequality.

Centre for Population, Health and Aging 8th Annual Interdisciplinary Research Event

Deadline for poster proposals is May 20, 2011

The Centre for Population, Health and Aging (formerly the Population Studies Centre and Aging and Health Research Centre) will be hosting our 8th Annual Interdisciplinary Research Event on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

This is a great opportunity to share your research and network with faculty and other graduate students from across campus.

Graduate students are invited to submit an abstract on any topic or issue related to Population, Health AND/OR Aging. Posters on research that is in-progress or completed are welcome. Posters will be displayed and judged prior to our keynote address. Two $100 UWO bookstore gift certificates will be awarded for the best posters. The posters will also be displayed following the keynote during the free buffet lunch.

7th Annual Interdisciplinary Aging/Health Meeting

Building an Interdisciplinary Graduate Community in Health and Aging was held on May 14th, 2010.

Our keynote Speaker was Dr. Peggy McDonough, Associate Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
